Red Tide Hits Padre Island National Seashore
The presence of red tide, the lethal algal bloom, has been confirmed in the coastal waters of the Padre island National Seashore by Texas Parks and Wildlife experts. Red tide kills fish and causes respiratory problems in humans. Beachgoers who notice signs of red tide have been asked to report their information to Texas Parks and Wildlife by calling 281-842-8100.
