Group Proposes State Park Designation for San Marcos River
The Texas Rivers Protection Association has presented a proposal to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department that a crucial stretch of the San Marcos River be designated a state park in order to curtail the underage drinking-while-floating and littering that have plagued the river. Although the group has proposed a 60-mile stretch of the river for the park designation, the group has said they would consider a shorter stretch. (KXAN)
