Scientists Report Mass Die-Off at Marine Sanctuary
Scientists have reported a mass die-off of marine life on a coral reef located in the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary, which lies off the coasts of Texas and Louisiana. Researchers with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management have not pinpointed the cause of the die-off but are investigating potential causes, including poor water quality and chemical spills.
