The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University is sponsoring a Fourth of July weekend celebration at Spring Lake that will include interpretive nature walks and hands-on children's activities. A free screening of the film "Written in Water," focusing on the Ogallala Aquifer and groundwater depletion in the High Plains region, will run from 3 to 4 p.m. on July 2-4 in the Discovery Hall.
