Months of heavy rains have raised the water level in the Edwards Aquifer to its highest since 2010. Now, the once dry sinkhole symbolizing drought now resembles a whirlpool as water gushes through it into the aquifer.

Now, the once dry sinkhole symbolizing drought now resembles a whirlpool as water gushes through it into the aquifer. The good news is not guaranteed to last, however, as the aquifer has been compared to a leaky bucket, and another long dry spell would trigger water restrictions again.
