Schools Often Need Help in Obtaining E-Rate Discounts

Federal funding has been in place to assist school districts with obtaining telecommunications and Internet services at discounted rates, but filing for this E-Rate funding is far from simplistic. Such a shift is meant to inspire a nationwide improvement in schools’ Internet access by 2019. Some districts can take advantage of consultant assistance, while others may be relieved to discover this year’s deadline extension is set for May 26. (Ed Tech)
