Experts Say U.S. Needs New Mindset for Water Infrastructure
During an interactive town hall broadcast focused on water infrastructure, panelists said the country's water systems are badly in need of an overhaul, with conditions exacerbated by drought and decreasing groundwater reserves. Speakers said the necessary repairs, upgrades and redesigns will require large financial and political commitments as well as a rethinking of the relationship between water consumers and providers. The town hall, titled H2O Catalyst, was sponsored by Circle of Blue, American Public Media and Columbia University. (Circle of Blue)
