Mexico's Water Debt to U.S. Now Fully Paid
Mexico has repaid a water debt to the United States that dates back to a 1944 treaty on water in the Rio Grande, according to the U.S. Section of International Boundary and Water Commission. As Texas struggled with drought, the issue had become increasingly important for businesses, farmers and ranchers in the Rio Grande Valley. (Houston Chronicle)
