Scientists Say Seas Rising Faster Than in Past 2,800 Years
A new study by a group of climate scientists from around the world has concluded that sea levels are now rising faster than they have for the past 2,800 years. The study, which says that seas rose about 14 centimeters (5.5 inches) from 1900 to 2000, at a rate of 1.4 millimeters per year, was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
