Drought Effects To Spread Beyond Western U.S.
The harmful effects of drought on the western U.S. will likely spread eastward, altering the conditions of forests across the nation, according to a study published by a group of scientists from 14 different institutions. The study, which was published in the journal Global Change Biology, says that trees will not be able to adapt to the rapidly changing climate. (The Christian Science Monitor)
