Districts Struggle to Evaluate Threats of Violence
In the wake of so many public shootings, school district officials across the U.S. are struggling to balance threats of violence on campus with appropriate levels of response and prevention. While districts like those in Los Angeles and Nashua, N.H., chose to close after receiving threats of lethal attacks, administrators in New York City have chosen to keep doors open when the risk seems low.
