What: SWIFT Funding Workshop: Focus on Water Conservation — designed for entities interested in applying for SWIFT (State Water Implementation Fund for Texas) funding from the Texas Water Conservation Board. The workshop will focus on the ins and outs of SWIFT funding, with an emphasis on conservation’s role in the Gulf Coast region’s future water supply.

Who: Hosted by the Montgomery County/Gulf Coast Water Efficiency Network; Sierra Club – Lone Star Chapter; National Wildlife Federation; Woodlands Joint Power Agency; R.G. Miller Engineers Inc.; Texas Water Foundation; and Galveston Bay Foundation.

Speakers include Mike Turco of the Harris Galveston Subsidence District; Micah Reed, City of Fort Worth; Michael Bloom, R.G. Miller Engineers, Inc.; James Bronikowski and Scott Galaway, Texas Water Development Board; and Jason Afinowicz, Region H, Freese and Nichols.
