Every Student Succeeds Act Expands Teacher Training
Signed into law by President Obama earlier this month, the Every Student Succeeds Act includes provisions that afford states the ability to create new degree-granting academies outside more traditional college or university settings. Meant to ease the burden of states struggling with a shortage of qualified instructors, some experts fear the provision will inspire an influx of sub-par teachers into struggling classrooms.
