Restoring Barren Ecosystems With Wastewater
Environmental researchers are using wastewater from a treatment plant to restore the soil in an abandoned industrial site near Chicago. A team from the School of Environment and Natural Resources at Ohio State University joined with the Chicago Metropolitan Water Reclamation District to use biosolids produced from the treatment plant to build healthy soil.
