North Carolina District Struggles to Maintain School Diversity
Researchers from Duke University have published a study examining the effects of socioeconomic status school assignment policies, implemented by the Wake County Public School System in North Carolina. Academic achievement results from the study were positive, showing increases after the socioeconomic status policy was implemented, but experts warn against defining this outcome as directly correlated to diversifying a school based on socioeconomic status.
