Colorado Adopts Water Plan
Facing huge water deficits, Colorado has adopted a $20 billion state water plan, following a decade of negotiations. The plan targets city and industry water savings, increases reservoir and aquifer storage, considers trans-mountain water transfers, proposes river and stream conservation measures and sets forth a strategy for loss of irrigated agricultural land.
