Teach for America, a nonprofit that matches recent college graduates with high-need classrooms around the country, is facing another year of steady decline in the number of applicants to the program. Peaking in 2013 with over 57,000 applicants, the number of young people interested in participating has dropped to just above 44,000. Organization leaders are pursuing active countermeasures, hoping to reach potential educators who may not have otherwise considered a career in the classroom. (Huffington Post)
