Texas’ Rural Hospitals Seek Federal Help
The Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals says that the state’s 171 rural hospitals have been particularly hard hit by cutbacks in Medicare and Medicaid, forcing 13 to close since 2013. The state Legislature restored some funding in the last session, but hospital officials also want federal help. (D Healthcare Daily)
