Pearson Settles After Tests in Minnesota Disrupted
Pearson has agreed to pay Minnesota $1 million in fees and provide almost $4.7 million in educational fees after the state's public education assessments were fraught with technical difficulties earlier this year. While the disruption in service was largely due to third-party breaches, the problem reflects similar mishaps around the country, with vendors coming under greater scrutiny as security and functionality of products continue to pose problems.
