With a new NCI designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, new brain and bioinformatics centers, and an $800 million hospital open for less than a year, UT Southwestern Medical Center has been in growth mode. UT Southwestern is the only academic medical center in Dallas and has the largest research enterprise in the market. It also has a very high concentration of complex patient cases, even compared with other academic medical centers. (Modern Healthcare)
