Rio Grande Valley Partnership to Address Water Concerns

A new project in the Lower Rio Grande Valley that is part of the Regional Conservation Partnership Program will deal with problems of water quantity and quality in the area, helping with regional planning and education.

The Rio Grande has been the lifeblood of the valleys and civilizations it flowed through for more than 3,000 years. As cities and farms suck it dry and a warming climate makes it evaporate faster, the river's future has never been more uncertain.

A new project in the Lower Rio Grande Valley that is part of the Regional Conservation Partnership Program will deal with problems of water quantity and quality in the area, helping with regional planning and education.
