Grade-Level Reading Campaign Achieves Results

A campaign began in 2010 recruiting communities, districts, programs and foundations to participate in an initiative to increase the number of students reading proficiently by the end of third grade.

In 2010, the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading began recruiting communities, districts, programs and foundations to participate in an initiative to increase the number of students reading proficiently by the end of third grade. Today, 41 states and 168 communities are involved. This article takes a look at three examples of how the program has transformed reading around the country. (Ed Week)
