New Brain Institute Launched With $36 Million Gift
The UT System Board of Regents has approved creation of a new brain institute at UT Southwestern Medical Center, following a $36 million gift from the O’Donnell Foundation. The Dallas institute will study the “basic molecular workings’’ of the brain, then develop targeted therapies for patients suffering from trauma and disease, such as Alzheimer’s. (D Healthcare Daily)
