Largest U.S. Teachers Union Preparing for 2016

The National Education Association has begun considering political endorsements ahead of next year’s presidential election season – an unusually early move for the largest teachers union in the country. The intent is to make education a priority issue and spur early action. Questionnaires have been sent to all viable candidates in national elections, regardless of party affiliations, and organizers have been hired in states where early voting can influence runoff agendas.
