KHN: Not Expanding Medicaid Has Yet to Impact Profits
Hospitals in states that did not expand Medicaid have not been hit with the financial burden expected in 2014, despite less funding under the Affordable Care Act, according to financial documents obtained by our content partner Kaiser Health News. The biggest reasons include an improving economy and a decrease in uninsured patients. However, financial hurdles are still ahead, with funding cuts next year.
