Hospital construction has reached unprecedented levels in North Texas. While the growth is part of a national trend, one analyst said Texas is among the leading states in making investments in new facilities. One such example: UT Southwestern Medical Center’s new $800 million William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, which features high-tech medical equipment, a 24-hour food store and even a high-speed laundry chute for whisking away soiled linens. (KERA)
