McAllen Eyes Geothermal Wells for Water Source
The city of McAllen is considering extracting water from more than 500 unused natural gas wells in the area that also tap into geothermal water sources. The geothermal water can be treated through reverse osmosis to provide potable water, a far cheaper process than desalination. (The Monitor)
