Attorney General Greg Abbott has raised more than $45 million in the race for Texas governor, his campaign announced Monday.
In the last reporting period, which started Sept. 26 and ended Oct. 25, the Republican pulled in $4.2 million and had $13.3 million left in the bank. The self-reported figures will be included a state campaign finance report that must be filed eight days before the election. It's due at the Texas Ethics Commission by Monday at midnight.
Abbott's Democratic opponent, Sen. Wendy Davis of Fort Worth, had not released any campaign finance numbers as of Monday afternoon.
