Water Tip: No Wipes in the Pipes
Blockages in sewers have become a problem for city water managers around the country, with baby wipes being named the No. 1 culprit in clogging pipes, despite manufacturers' claims that the wipes are flushable. Cities around the country have asked consumers not to flush the wipes, but the issue went global when the city of London removed a 15-ton clump of wet wipes and grease from a sewer that was the size of a bus and acquired the moniker of "fatberg."
