Hegar Reports $389,000 Raised, $1.3 Million On Hand
State Sen. Glenn Hegar, the Republican candidate for Comptroller, intends to report raising $389,006 between July 1 and Sept. 25, according to his campaign. Hegar plans to report having $1.3 million cash on hand with no loans to his campaign.
The numbers suggest Hegar may spend less in the general election than he did in the Republican primary, when he spent more than $2.7 million to win a four-way race.
Hegar is running against Democrat Mike Collier to replace Comptroller Susan Combs.
