On Wednesday, the Dallas City Council offered mixed reactions to an ordinance construction workers want to see enacted that would require they get breaks from the heat, according to WFAA-TV.

The ordinance, first passed in Austin, would mandate 10-minute breaks for every four hours worked, access to drinking water and "meaningful penalties" for companies who violate the regulation.
