In response to extreme drought conditions, the University of Nevada, Reno, and the Desert Research Institute are partnering with the U.S. Geological Survey to bring together science, water policy research and community outreach to assess climate change and ways to protect northern Nevada's water resources. The project, which will focus on the Truckee-Carson River Systems, will provide information to other arid communities. (Emergency Management)
