Denton County Public Schools Outdistance Charters

Although charter schools in Denton County met targets in student achievement and progress, their results in the postsecondary readiness category lagged behind area public schools.

Although charter schools in Denton County met targets in student achievement and progress, their results in the postsecondary readiness category lagged behind area public schools. Three out of four charters operated by Texas Education Centers require improvement in the readiness index, which is intended to evaluate the post-high school success of students, including graduation rates and diploma plans.
