The LCRA Board of Directors will consider adopting new raw water rates for “firm” and certain “interruptible” customers at its June 18 meeting. Firm customers consist of cities and industries, while interruptible customers are certain downstream irrigation divisions. The LCRA staff is recommending that the board adopt a one-year “drought rate” that increases the rate for firm customers from $151 per acre-foot to $175 per acre-foot.
