Event: World Oceans Day

World Oceans Day, a global celebration of our connection to the oceans, is June 8, and activities will be held in Texas on that day and on June 7 and June 14 in different venues.

What: World Oceans Day, a global celebration of our connection to the oceans. 

Who: The global celebration, recognized by the U.N. and coordinated by The Ocean Project and the World Ocean Network, brings in aquariums, zoos, museums, conservation organizations, school and businesses around the world.

When: June 8, with scattered days in different locations (see below).

Where: In Texas, there will be activities on June 14 at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute on Cotter Street (near the beach) in Port Aransas; at the San Antonio Zoo on June 7; and on June 8 at the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi.
