Teacher Diversity Gap Growing at Elementary, Secondary Schools

Both minority and non-minority students would benefit from a more diverse teacher corps, according to a new report from the National Education Association.

Both minority and non-minority students would benefit from a more diverse teacher corps, according to a new report from the National Education Association. Although nearly half of students enrolled in public schools are minorities, fewer than 20 percent of their teachers are nonwhite.
