El Paso lawyer Maxey Scherr is the second Democrat running for U.S. Senate to begin airing an ad on TV, after David Alameel of Dallas.

The 30-second spot, called "Forgotten Texas," is airing in airing the El Paso area and Spanish language stations, according to campaign spokesman Victor Reyes.

Scherr and Alameel are two of five Democrats running for the seat held by U.S. Sen. John Cornyn.
