21 States Try to Halt Chesapeake Bay Cleanup Plan
Attorneys general from 21 states, including Texas, have joined the American Farm Bureau Federation in an effort to halt the Environmental Protection Agency's plan to clean up the Chesapeake Bay, where polluted waters have killed marine life, The Washington Post reported. They argued in a brief filed with the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that the government could use that authority to force cleanups in other watersheds.
