Public Safety, Contractors' Groups Release Endorsements
Public safety groups and the contractors trade association announced endorsements on Wednesday.
Public safety and contractors' groups highlight Wednesday's endorsements. Here's the rundown:
- Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst rolled out a handful of endorsements from public safety groups, including the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT), Texas Fraternal Order of Police, Texas Municipal Police Association, the Department of Public Safety Officers Association Political Action Committee and the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters.
- State Rep. Chris Turner, D-Arlington, announced his "Best of the House" award from CLEAT.
- The Texas chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) endorsed Glenn Hegar in his bid for the Republican nomination for Comptroller.
