T-Squared: Our Q1 Stats

In March we broke our previous records for monthly uniques and monthly page views — by a lot. And we're ahead of where we should be year-to-date in every category of fundraising.

I'm pleased to report that in the first quarter of 2011, the Trib kicked some serious butt on site traffic! Our page views continue to grow, nearing 3.8 million in the month of March and 9.7 million for the quarter. Ditto for our monthly uniques: more than 415,000 in March and more than 1 million for the quarter. Our March numbers on both counts broke previous monthly Trib records by quite a lot: by more than 50,000 uniques and more than 500,000 page views. Thanks so much to all of you for helping us get here.

Many of you have asked for regular updates on the Trib's business model. On every fundraising metric — membership, major gifts, corporate support, events sponsorships and Texas Weekly subscriptions — we are ahead, if not well ahead, of where we should be considering our year-end goals. If all goes well, we could even be at break-even before the end of the fourth quarter, which would be more than a year earlier than we had planned. Again, thanks so much to everyone who has supported us financially since our launch not quite 17 months ago.

We hope you'll continue supporting us, of course. And if you're not already a Trib donor, now's a great time to become one! Click here. Wait until you hear about our cool new bumper magnets...
