“Texas has prospered as the leader in oil and gas,” he says. “But promising new energy technologies are being developed in other states and other countries.”ย  He cites Austin’s success in attracting semiconductor jobs and says the same can be done in the field of renewable energy. Strama’s Republican challenger, Patrick McGuinness, also released an ad Wednesday attacking the incumbent for aligning to closely with President Barack Obama.
