Van Taylor

Van Taylor, R-Plano, easily won his runoff for the Texas House, beating former Plano City Councilwoman Mabrie Griffith Jackson in the contest to succeed former Rep. Brian McCall, R-Plano. McCall endorsed Jackson, but Taylor combined anti-incumbent sentiments and well-financed campaign to win the day. There’s no Democrat ahead; Taylor’s apparently on his way to the Legislature.
