Say farewell to Joe Pounder, the KBH campaign's indefatigable communications aide. POLITICO reports he's moved on to the next hot GOP primary, in Florida. According to Ben Smith, Pounder will be Marco Rubio's Deputy Campaign Manager for Communications. Rubio's the former Speaker of the Florida House who's now seeking the U.S. Senate seat held by George LeMieux.
During his time with Hutchison, Pounder was responsible for the daily "Hutchison Huddle", the morning digest that aimed to shape the KBH message each day. He also torpedoed press inboxes with about 18 other missives a day, so his absence is felt, as I noted in the TribCast this week.
