Julián Castro, the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and former mayor of San Antonio, will endorse Hillary Clinton for president next week in his hometown, her campaign said Friday.

The endorsement is not a surprise. Castro has long been rumored to be on Clinton’s short list of possible running mates, and his twin brother, U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro of San Antonio, is already stumping for her in early voting states.

Clinton, the former secretary of state, is scheduled to visit San Antonio on Thursday for a speech aimed at Hispanic voters, part of a new effort called Latinos for Hillary.

The endorsement was first reported by BuzzFeed.
