The Texas Freedom Network (TFN) was founded by Cecile Richards in 1995 to, according to its mission statement "advances a mainstream agenda of religious freedom and individual liberties to counter the religious right."

TFN fights against initiatives backed by conservative religious groups in Texas, including private school vouchers, certain textbook and curriculum changes, and faith-based deregulation.
