A proposed dam and reservoir to be built along Lower Bois d'Arc Creek, south of the Caddo Grasslands, would supply water for several counties, but it would also mean the end of a way of life for many farmers whose land would be flooded. The North Texas Municipal Water District says the project will bring jobs and tax revenue to an area considered among the poorest in the state.
