Scientist Says Onion Creek Likely to Flood Again

According to a study by UT hydrology professor David R. Maidment, last year's devastating Onion Creek flood, known as the Halloween flood, was not a unique event and could occur again, within a projected range of 15 to 50 years.

According to a study by University of Texas at Austin hydrology professor David R. Maidment, last year's devastating Onion Creek flood, known as the Halloween flood, was not a unique event and could occur again, within a projected range of 15 to 50 years. The Onion Creek watershed extends around the city of Austin from Dripping Springs to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. (Austin American-Statesman)
