Representative Hubert Vo was first elected to represent HD-149 in Harris County in 2004. He has been part of the Alief community for more than 20 years.

He presently serves on the House Administration, Public Safety and Criminal Jurisprudence committees and previously served on the House Insurance and Law Enforcement committees.

Vo currently serves on the Board of the Alief YMCA and is a council member for the Alief Super Neighborhood Council. He is also a member of the Houston Association of Realtors and the Houston Apartment Association. Vo is a businessman and real estate developer. Vo received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston, and cites as his public-service priorities education, health care, public safety and economic development. He is fluent in Spanish, Vietnamese, French, and English.
