Bill Zedler is a 30-year Arlington resident working in the healthcare industry. Zedler received his master's degree in business administration from Sam Houston State University. In 1967, following his graduation, Zedler entered the Army and served in Vietnam. He earned the Army Commendation Medal for his service.
In 1976, Zedler began volunteering for various Republican campaigns. Zedler was first elected to the Texas House in 2003. As a Representative in 2003, Zedler served as Vice Chairman of the Public Education committee and was a member of the Business and Industry, House Administration, Select Interim Committee for Child Welfare and Foster Care, and the Communities in Schools Select Advisory committees. He supports the Republican party and is a board member for the Texas Conservative Coalition and the Young Conservatives of Texas.
Zedler and his wife, Ellen, have three adult children and six grandchildren.
