What is Up with Austin Air?

The Austin League of Women Voter’s March General Meeting is about Austin’s air. If you breathe, then you definitely want to come and bring your friends. The US EPA has proposed more stringent standards for ozone, which, if adopted will impact our Central Texas area, and increased levels of carbon dioxide in our air are associated with climate change.

This meeting is hosted by the league’s air quality study group. Suzy Reid and Natalie Baldwin are co-chairs. Our speakers are: Deanna Altenhoff, Executive Director of the Clean Air Force of Central Texas; Mary Priddy, Program Coordinator, Austin Climate Protection Program; and Neil Carman, Clean Air Director, Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter.

    • Time: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Location: Congregation Beth Israel at 3901 Shoal Creek Blvd. which is at 38th and Shoal Creek. Parking is ava Austin TX 78756 [map]
